Water, I have learned, means different things to different people.
To
the novelist D. H. Lawrence, water was mysterious. It is “hydrogen two
parts, oxygen one, but there is also a third thing, that makes it water
and nobody knows what that is.”
To the anthropologist Loren Eiseley, water was supernatural: “If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water.”
And to the ancient Greek poet Pindar, water was quite simply “the best of all things.”
But
for millions of people in the developing world – especially women and
girls – water means a daily struggle to trek to a source, carry fifty
pounds of it home, and then hope against hope that drinking it won’t
make a family member sick or die.

Charlotte County Water Inc. was founded by David S. Barkley in January 1988, in Charlotte County Florida. Today, our twenty-five employees and 2 locations are proud to provide clean, quality RainSoft water and products to customers in S. Sarasota, Charlotte, Lee, and Collier Cour.
Charlotte County Water Inc. was chosen #1 in the People’s Choice Awards in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. Not to mention, we were awarded the Home Depot best service provider in south region as well as the Home Depot’s Voice of the consumer awards. We have also received an Outstanding Customer Service award from RainSoft.
We are members of the Water Quality Association, Better Business Bureau (A+ rating), Charlotte Desoto Building Industry Association (CDBIA), and Chamber of Commerce.
At Charlotte County Water, we have a comprehensive staff fostering unique product knowledge of water equipment to better assist our customers. We have filters available for most makes and models. In addition, we provide water testing, installation, service plans, warranty service, brine tank cleanouts, month-to-month and yearly tune-ups, salt delivery service, filter change service, and 24-hour emergency service. To provide you with the most knowledgeable staff, all of our technicians attend factory training classes on a yearly basis and in-house training is continuous.
